Rates use published Upwork benchmarks, checked October 8, 2026. Defaults are illustrative points inside those ranges—not averages or quotes. Related-role proxies are identified below. AI capability and savings are not established by these rates.
View rate sources and assumptions
All figures are USD. Hours are monthly and annualized over 12 months. Cash spending changes only if you can actually reduce or avoid the bill; fixed retainers and salaries do not automatically fall. Time-value mode is an economic comparison, not cash saved. No revenue growth or full-time employee replacement is assumed. Team members are example roles you learn to build.
Net = annual selected hours × selected rates × assumed AI share − annual additional tools − setup/review hours × your time value − $99. The same method is used for equivalent value when you do the work yourself; recovered hours are valued at outsourcing rates, not added again at your personal rate.
